June 26, 2013, I felt an interested in growing churches that you will want to read. It’s been with me several years and building. Lord answered. I don’t know if it’s because He got tired of my asking or because it’s time for the answer. Either way, here’s what happened two days after my 76th birthday, although I am now approaching the 80th in June. Any way the Lord woke me saying: “You are always asking me what the true purpose of the Church is. I will ask you a few questions and you answer them and you should have your answer.”
Here are the five questions He asked me:
1. What was Jesus’ primary reason for coming to earth?
2. What was Jesus’ primary reason for picking the first 12 disciples?
3. What was Jesus’ primary reason for establishing body of Christ?
4. What was the primary reason for assembling the Church congregation?
5. What is the primary purpose for all (every) Christians?
He said that if these questions were answered I would have the answer on “What the true purpose of His Church is”. This may sound easy but if you think a moment you will see He specifically said PRIMARY REASON. He was not asking for my reasons, or what might sound good. His key is “primary” meaning, important, critical, major, the key to my questions. The most important and critical key is His “primary reason” for coming to earth, picking 12 men and establishing His Church. He also says not to forsake “ASSEMBLING” together His body. I have been working on His answers and feel the Lord helped me, although I am not writing the answer here.
My reason for not writing an answer is that I believe this Word from the Lord was for His ENTIRE Church body, both leaders and Saints around the entire world. So I will leave this Word from the Lord with you and if you want to know the answer to the original question, “What is the true purpose of Jesus’ Church” you can find the answer in the Word of God for the above five questions, plus the answers and purpose of His Church Body today which is one body with many working parts all connected with One Head, Jesus the Christ. I pray God’s blessing abundantly cover you as we enter the days we’re moving into now.
