Have you ever started the day feeling like you are in a war zone? Guess what? That’s exactly right. You are in a war zone, and you are warring. We often fight our biggest problems by fighting only those areas we can see. That seems like a good strategy for many things. When your boss gets on you for poor work habits, you give an excuse. If you fight a mouth that speaks ungodly words, you try harder the next time you are cut off in traffic. Fighting what we see can feel like the right things to do. However, the battle being waged against us is spiritual, not physical. We cannot fight spiritual things by fleshly means.
We need Gods’ help. Winning is not optional When we walk with Him, His power Is at work within us, we win. If Satan can get us to separate ourselves from God, Satan wins our daily battle; but if we recognize the hand of Satan in our daily war zone, we can bind him and expect victory. Yes, we also fight daily battles against unseen force. So what is really happening each day is explained in Ephesians 6:12-13 that goes like this: “We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, against principalities, against powers , against the rulers of darkness, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be abet to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, stand.
OPEN VISION Lord gave me several years ago concerning walking through life during the time we’re now in: I first saw a long building with many rooms. The side of building facing me had a single, large window the size and length of the building. In this vision, I was the one walking from room to room. Each room represented a different situation in life: every room depicted a different scene in life. As I exited one station of life, I entered another. One room was a restaurant with people sitting and eating. Another was a home where a family lived; still another was a store full of shoppers. The one thing that was the same in all the rooms and streets was that they were full of people looking like any daily scent from life.
I entered the door to the right end of the building and started walking through the room’s one at a time. As I entered a room, the people the people were doing what you might expect. Those who were in cars were driving; those in grocery stores were shopping. Dogs were being walked, and people were eating in restaurants, all looked normal. When I walked into each room or down a street and people saw me, they would immediately react in strange ways, reacting with fear and anxiety, dodging away from me with enormous distress. Also, they were all transparent, I could see through them. I could see various spirits, ugly and awful, lurking around them. The spirits looked at me with hatred. The closer I got the more fear they displayed, they hunched down in fright, moved behind other people, as passed near them. They did everything they could to not look directly at me, but my presence was so strong, they could not ignore me. I knew it was the presence of the Holy Spirit in me that was causing them problems.
Another strange thing was the people didn’t realize there was a spiritual battle taking place, they did not know these evil spirits had control and influence over their activities. When the spirit around them hid in fear they did the same. When the spirit cowered, they also cowered. My presence actually worked against the evil spirits an reduce their effectiveness. I was making a different. The Holy Spirit living in me gave me authority. The Lord showed me that my position in Him changed reality all around me. Yes, true born-again, Spirit-filled Christians affect the lives of those around. The problem is that, like these people in vision who were not award of evil spirits in their daily lives, Christians are not aware of the power of the Spirit within them. They are not aware of His ability to affect those around them.
The Kingdom of God is forcefully advancing across the land. Jesus said the very gates of hell will not prevail against His church. The kingdom which is ruled by God cannot be stopped. We are the marching army of God. We still not be stopped regardless of the situations we go through. We are not losers, we are winners, not spectators: we are the team on the field.
