Open Vison January 1, 2006 in book

A Minister’s crude interpretation of God’s word reminds me of the opposite position the Lord showed me in a vision January 1, 2006, that concerned the last days. It started in beautiful color showing a high mountain range with a large storm forming on the far side about to spill over the mountain top. Suddenly, the storm came raging over the top and down one side of the mountain and continued across the land. It picked up anything in its way throwing it in every direction. It was difficult to see into the storm. I could see some military soldiers dressed in armor that was spread over a large area and they didn’t seem to see each other. They stood in place as if the storm had no affect on them. They were dressed in helmets and breastplates that reflected light off them. They also had a large shield and a sword in their hand. Nothing about the storm seemed to concern them. As I watched, they started to grow in number and their armor became brighter. Suddenly they began to march forward in the same direction. Their numbers multiplied as they spread across the landscape. They seemed to know where they were going and that nothing could stand in their way. They looked straight ahead as they marched in ranks. They looked extremely powerful and the storm no longer was the primary point of the vision. It was God’s army, focused and marching across the land. Then I heard God say in a very, very loud voice: “My People Will Cover the Land”.
Regardless of what this world may look like or the downward direction it’s heading, God is at work changing and building His end time army for these last of the last days, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. In fact, let me be a little personal. As I write this book I am 77 years old. I can remember when most churches would not come together, instead run down other churches if they were not in their organization. Today most of the Christian world is trying to work together which is good in the eyes of Jesus. The Holy Spirit becomes active when the body of Christ recognizes that the rest of the body of Christ is also necessary. Remember, Jesus’ prayed: (John 17). Today, most of Jesus’ five-fold ministries recognize that Jesus’ ministry was all five ministries in one body, Jesus. Jesus did not have a weak or strong point; He was all strong. Jesus even told his followers that they would be doing more ministry than he was. But, if you think about it you soon realize that there is no one person that is doing more than Jesus did. Jesus was not talking about each person doing more than Jesus individually. He was talking about the body of Christ doing more as an entire body. He did not want his ministry to be separated into divisions where one part of his body was more important than the others. The importance of Jesus’ ministry was its unity of many parts working together as one body with Jesus as the head.
Think this way: If one of your legs decided it wanted to go its own direction, would that affect the entire body? Today body of Christ has many parts going and with connation creates a crippled body Jesus needs. Jesus giving parts of his own ministry was not based on creating disconnected positions. Jesus’ prayer makes it obvious he wanted one body of many parts working in unity with rest of body healthy and strong. The fivefold office of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, Teachers are parts of the body that helps build the body parts to function more perfectly. Every born again Christian has a ministry part vital to the total body of Christ on earth.
Here’s story both true and funny. I spoke at a Pastors conference of several hundred pastors painting the following picture. I told them many church leaders have a wrong picture of Christ’s body. If someone could draw one picture that summed up all teaching on this subject, the picture would look like a freak. The picture would look like one big head with thousands of little necks sticking out all around the head with little bodies. I said. this is not the picture Jesus wanted his body look like. I said, that some of us, leaders and Saints are fingers and toes, hands and arms, shoulders or necks but we are all connect as one spiritual body. I said, if a finger was cut off it would affect the hand. If foot cut off would give rest of body a walking problem. Our physical body is made up of many parts and all different, yet all work together as one body with head running the show. To be part of Christ’s body he wants all his body connected to accomplish His purpose. Every body part may have different purpose, but other parts need to function with it. A finger affects a hand, that affects a arm, that affects shoulder that affects neck, that also affects head, that affects entire body. Jesus needs both leaders and Saints working together to be healthy body reaching world.
