From my book, “What God Wants to do For You Now”, Chapter 16 titled, “Full Power of Saints Ministry”. Yes, a true believer will see themselves walking and declaring: “I am the head and not the tail, I am the top and not the bottom, I am the blessed and not the cursed, I AM A WINNER WITH HIM”.
DECEMBER 1974 “God gave me a vision of the Bible concerning importance of His Word flowing from it. Bible was lying on a table and His Words were flowing upward and outward, like a tornado and all like images of life’s problems and answers, everything imaginable and nothing missing. Lord let me know that anything and everything, problems, blessing, good or bad, that we face in life has the answer in His Word. With Lord’s help each word was a volume with endless information He can bring out of any Word filling eternities with information and answers for mankind. All learning and all knowledge, all wisdom and all the worlds books could not dent what I saw coming from this one Bible. The Lord wanted me to see that man did not have the answers. People will look to people instead of His Word missing their treasures of life He is offering”.
JULY 1976 “Lord explained to me how he would move in His church. He said when He moves, He would start with manifesting His Spirit through different Christians, starting with some and adding others as He went. He said when He started to move the Spirit of envy would also start to move. Christians would be cheated out of their gifts because they want what others have. God knows what’s best for each person, but people are self-centered, making it harder for Him to use them. He also said he had a work for many and with patience He will work through them all moving through His church”.
Also true in our modern world today are many believers of all ages in churches, some abandoning Him, some looking for a spiritual life, others giving up. Whatever the reason, there are many churches finding it harder to increase. So, let’s find out why? Some are blaming the people leaving by saying they are backslidden. Others claim it’s because they didn’t want any responsibilities. Yes again, all this reminds me of world’s business system when I was a business consultant and strategist covering many states largest operations. The reason that so many businesses decreased was due to leadership, not employees. Maybe Christian leadership today might recheck them self. Am I training and equipping saints for work of their ministry, or focus on my own ministry? The business world said it this way: if it’s not working, check the leadership. Another reason for leaving might be due to a lack of preaching good news and spiritual gifts available to them. What is sad is the report that said less than 1% of pastors have ever led a person to the Lord personally. How does one train others to do what the trainers don’t do? Today, a average Christian is in church because it’s Sunday. They expect music, a message and to leave on time. This makes me think of a school class room where no one graduates, but keeps coming until too old. This is not only a sad example, it is also sad that Christians are leaving churches to find a church that preaches good news, healing, miracles, and spiritual power, so they can be involved in Jesus plan. Many churches today are not involved in their communities. Christians are asking leadership what their church is doing for their community.
Yes, I admit at first I was hesitant in writing this chapter but the question of what happened to Jesus’ church stuck with me. My question when I started going to church was, became, where is the church Jesus sent to heal sick, cleanse lepers, raise dead, cast out demons, etc. etc. While Jesus was on earth His ministry was measured by the fruit He produced and people He trained to continue His ministry after He left. “You did not choose Me, I chose you and appointed you to go and to bear fruit, and your fruit should remain”, (John 15:16).
My answer came with my pastor asking me to help build his church of about 60 up. I said I didn’t know anything about churches, but would help as much as possible. I had build business’ so I excepted the challenge until our biggest Sunday was over 1,113.34, our average over 700. No, I didn’t do it all, in fact my part was teaching how to turn congregation to builders instead of watchers.
Yes, Apostle Paul said he became all things to all men and absorbed himself in their life to show Jesus’ heart to them. Today it sometimes sounds more like Christians are judging each other’s churches instead of preaching Jesus. Without doubt the world is looking for Jesus. Good news is Jesus is building fires in hearts of Believers to also lead others to Him. These are the Churches that will increase, while spiritually preparing for powerful revivals, preparing for victory, training Jesus’ body to bring people to Him through their spiritual power and revival. So, since world’s natural armies are created for natural warfare and Jesus’ army is created for spiritual warfare, there is no place for Christians to sit passively as soldiers of Jesus doing nothing, (Luke 4:18-19). Churches around the world are full of saints wanting to walk in spiritual power, but few are being trained. Maybe it’s time Christians start praying and expecting the Holy Spirit to be in their services.
YES AGAIN: All the above was written several years ago from what God gave me between 1973 and 2011 concerning the age we’re moving into now. All my 8 books were written over a few of these years.
