Taken from my book: “A Lives Journey with Jesus”: Have you noticed that the worldly conversations concerning Jesus’ return has increased? Also an increase in Christian’s talking about the Holy Spirit miracles taking place again. Obviously, both non-Christians, and Christians are talking about the Holy Spirit more than ever. Evidence that world is lining up with more truths concerning spiritual happenings in their lives. Yes, there are people believing Jesus will return, including many non-Christians.
There is also no position in the body of Christ as a “believing spectator”. Jesus said: “Take heed no one deceives you”. Also, when we hear rumors of wars, not to be troubled, it doesn’t mean the end. Nations will raise against nations, earthquakes, and famines, but not yet the end. He also said we will be hated, but if we endure, we win! So, the bottom is simple: “the gospel will be preached among all nations” by true believers. This opens doors for the church body to release the greatest worldwide ministry ever seen. Jesus wants everyone to be ready when he returns, so they can be with him eternally. When Jesus says everyone, means everyone that his church body can get saved for Him.
Yes, it will be the Christian Church’s that will set up Jesus’ kingdom for his return. His church is right now walking forward, not defeated as many think, but preparing to experience their greatest exploits! This may not paint a beautiful picture for us to walk through, but it’s better and greater than what the world will experience. Jesus’ entire focus has never, nor will be changed. His plan from beginning will continue until He returns for his body believers, to be with Him eternally. Whatever you do, make sure you are in His body of believers before you die or before he returns.
This is why it is important that Christians are not deceived by fake or misleading teachers claiming all God wants is for people to be healthy, happy and rich. Jesus’ answer concerning His return is: “a day and hour no one knows, not even angels. So watch and pray”. When we stand before Jesus He will ask us how many we brought with us, so don’t get caught off guard. Start winning as many souls as possible and bring them to church with you. There is an old saying like this: If you continue to do what you have always done, you will continue to get what you always got, so is that what you really want? Jesus’ plan, calls for “going”, not sitting. Without doubt, Jesus expects us to be actively trying to win souls to Him.
When Jesus said, “It is finished” he did not mean He was leaving us on our own. It was so He could “fulfill all Things”. Jesus continued working through His church He created to work. Every born again believer is required to fit into Jesus’ plan, not create their own. Jesus’ plan is eternal and will never change. Jesus’ second coming will close the Church Age door. Jesus’ prayer confirms that, (John 17:21,23). So, where we fit is simple: we fit as Holy Spirit workers with Him. Yes, there are still events on the horizon concerning His work through us. This makes our salvation more than a membership; it’s a position to be completed in His plan. Before Jesus returns, there will be an enormous invasion through His Church, revealing His glory!
In reality, being prepared for Jesus’ coming is Simple: If you find yourself drawn to Jesus more than the world you are BEING PREPARED! If you feel drawn toward helping others more than yourself, you are BEING PREPARED! When you think of Church as a blessing instead of a demand on you, you are BEING PREPARED! When the Word of God becomes personal to you, you are BEING PREPARED! When your spirit is saying: Come Lord Jesus Come, we are BEING PREPARED! So, what is your best plan of action: BEING PREPARED?
Yes, without doubt, we are Jesus’ power team, focused on where to go and end up. Yes there are battles to fight, so we become His generals, captains, sergeants and privates, standing to overcome discouragement focusing our victories. So how do we develop courage? Simple, continually keep the Word of God, letting it encourage us. A major goal of Believers is to keep teaching our self and others against discouragement. God wants to hear our prayers and involvement and our expecting to win, remember, WE WIN! (My two words “I Win” is used myself for years.
