Imagine day Jesus left earth. Disciples had lived with, loved and do ministry with Jesus who had risen from dead. The disciples, who walked with Him, had been fortunate to live in the generation of God’s visitation on earth. After three and half years together, the most unexpected thing happened. The savior of world was arrested and killed. This was something which His disciples had not expected. He was the one which was to break the backs of the oppressor and set the people of God free.
It has been prophesied that in the last days even Christians would possibly be led astray. Some of these might even be preachers and teachers contradicting Scripture. You don’t have to look very far to see that it is already happening in some places. We have heard some teach that the Bible is really only man’s traditions and that there really isn’t a Heaven or Hell. However, Christians all over world declare that every Word in scripture is “God-breathed”, that is to say inspired for God Himself. Yes, faithful Christians everywhere are reminding ourselves that we must keep proclaiming Jesus Christ, and Him crucified, and there is life in no one besides Him and believers declaring the day is coming when there will be no more time to repent, and must be ready.
Actually, the return of Christ is our greatest hope! Jesus promised to return for His Church. That is one of the greatest truths that we should be preaching, witnessing, and a subject that we Believers should be shouting from roof tops, our families, friends, co-workers and the world be ready for His return. Problem is that there are parts of the modern Church which have done two things. They have, in some cases, stopped teaching it as a future event. “Oh, it may happen, but, just like we have already waited 2,000 years, it isn’t likely to happen in our lifetime”, is what many actually think.
We have heard it said the Church today thinks of the coming return of Lord a just a changing of the world system. These people have forgotten the Scriptures which talk about the five virgins missing the coming of the groom because not prepared. Jesus’ return is not something that first starts our and continues to grow. When it happens, it will happen in an instant, in the twinkly of an eye. It is a on the spot event for only those who are prepared for His return. When He comes, it will be to get His Church, (Matt 24:36, 39, 42-44). Understanding the return of Jesus is the second most important teaching in Bible, right behind His resurrection, both instantaneous, (John 4:1-4). Yes again, the history of man is actually the history of God’s plan to redeem a remnant out of a disobedient human raise. Jesus’ return will usher in a kingdom that will be eternal.
The second coming of Jesus is a vital part of the message of the Church world today. It is what true Believers for over two thousand years have been hoping and waiting for. It is called the rapture or resurrection. These two resurrections are the two greatest events in Christian history. If Jesus stopped and just went back to Heaven when He said, “It’s finished”, there would not have had a second resurrection to hope for. Jesus did finish His ministry, but He also accomplished His resurrection that set the hope in motion for all true believers, (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18).
Rapture of Jesus and rapture of Church body, are the two greatest events connected with Jesus’ return in the last days. They are separately explained in the Book of Revelation. To this day the Holy Spirit commands us to expect His return at any moment. As much as we would like to see His return very quickly, He is waiting to return in order that others would take the opportunity to repent and follow Him also: 2 Peter 3:9. Yes, we may sometimes feel like a sinking ship, but right now God is preparing His body of Believers as a spiritually rising ship seeing spiritual visitations, miracles, healings, and salvations, gifts in action, power and authority. So bring a smile to your face, knowing your journey has a purpose that will also glorify Him.
JANUARY 1, 2006 Word from God through Open Vision given by Robert Shipman. The message concerns last day Church. It began with beautiful full color mountain range with a large turbulent storm forming on the other side about to spill over the mountain top. “I could tell that a great storm had formed and was pushing against the other side of the mountains about ready to spill over the top. Suddenly, the storm came raging over the top and hurling down this side of mountain. It covered the top, the lower mountains, the small hills, and came out over the meadows and valleys continuing across the entire land. It was violent with winds picking up anything in its way throwing it in every direction. It appeared as though nothing could stop it or stand in its way and survive. It was very hard to see into the storm, but I saw what looked like military soldiers dressed in ancient armor. There were not many soldiers and they were spread over a large area. They did not seem to be able to see each other. They stood in place, not wavering or seemingly being affected by anything. They wore metal helmets on their heads, breastplates of iron on their chests, and were holding a large shield and sword in their hands. They stood still, and were great distances apart. Nothing seemed to affect them as they stood there, not even the storm. They stood without moving, while looking straight forward in the same direction. Their armor reflected light. I watched them grow in number wile their armor became brighter and brighter until the area around them was brightly lit. Suddenly, all at same time, they began marching forward, all in the same direction. Their numbers kept growing larger and larger until there were great numbers of them spread across the entire landscape. Then, all at once, they stated to march forward in the same direction, looking straight ahead through the storm, not looking in any other direction, and not affected by anything. As they marched in step, they formed ranks together, looking more and more powerful and strong. They crossed the entire land and storm was no longer the primary apart of vision, This marching army was the center focus and then God said to me, ‘MY PEOPLE WILL COVER THE LAND’. (Taken from my book: “Call to Revival”, Chapter 21, “The Magnificent Return of Jesus”).
